Phoenix Wilderness Adventures
Adventures that last a lifetime
and make a difference!
Phoenix Wilderness Adventures was founded by David & Jessie Klingbeil, who have worked, lived, and raised a family in the remote Sierra Ancha Mountain Range for over a decade. It is in one of the largest National Forests of the United States,Tonto National Forest. David worked as a Wilderness Ranger, upholding ethics and caring for the land in a place of such mystery, beauty, and diversity. David thought it should surely be noted as one of our nation's finest treasures.
During the time of the budget crunch, a good friend announced an opportunity with his business, CenterFocus Adventures. There, David worked as Manager and Lead Guide for Canyoneering in the Sierra Ancha.
Years passed and children grew. The one thing we noticed was the collection of unforgettable memories we created as our clients have come and gone through the years. From this, a sense of satisfaction in our works was found. After all, the overall goal in life is happiness and excitement! We felt we were on to something, Pura Vida, when the opportunity arose for us to take over the east side of the operation. This is how Phoenix Wilderness Adventures was born. Phoenix Wilderness Adventures provides the same high quality and amazing experiences that were provided in the past through CenterFocus Experiences. We specialize in safety and excitement through a variety of amazing and majestic canyons and cliffs. We operate in a unique and diverse area that offers the Sonoran Desert and the tall Ponderosa Pines within 15 minutes of each other. This makes for a primere and one of a kind destination. We offer canyoneering, rock climbing, paddle boarding/kayaking for single or multi-day adventures with camping and lodging accomidations.

He has guided for many other Arizona adventure companies over the course of the past decade. When he is not leading clients through a technical canyon, you probably will not find him, as he may be establishing first ascents in a remote piece of Arizona backcountry, or simply wandering through desolate pieces of wilderness looking for his next objective.
